Time flies when you're in a coma

Christmas is only 15 days away! How the heck did that happen? Have you noticed that the older you get the sneakier the holidays become? One minute it's the Fourth of July, and the next minute you're untangling the Christmas tree lights.

Remember when you were a kid? (Okay, for some of us that's a problem) Anyway, if you DO remember, it took FOREVER for Christmas to get here. Now it takes five nano seconds. If only paychecks came that fast!

Maybe part of the problem comes from the stores who insist on putting out their Christmas goodies earlier and earlier every year. Used to be after Thanksgiving. Now it's during, (or even before) Halloween. Maybe we ought to just have one giant holiday called HallowThanksChristmas. We could have standard decorations for all three holidays. Think of all the money you could save. You could put up the HallowThanksChristmas tree in September and leave it up till the end of January! Then when it's time to undecorate the tree you could just slam the front door real hard and the tree would undecorate itself.

Anyway, I gotta go now, it's time for me to get ready for Labor Day.
